Howl-O-Ween

Please join us for our 2nd Annual Howl-o-Ween Party, Saturday, October 27th 1:00 - 10:15 pm!

(This event is by reservation only)
We've scheduled the 2nd Annual Halloween Bash for Saturday, October 27th and are starting to take reservations now. If you made it last year, this year's going to be bigger and better!

Here's the tentative schedule:

1:00 - 4:30 Visit with other animal organizations in the courtyard, compete in a Jack-o-Lantern Carving Contest, help us stuff pumpkins full of tasty-goodies for the wolves, or, bring along your own supplies and join in the fun of a Scarecrow Building contest. The winners of the contests will have the chance to have their pictures taken with an ambassador wolf later in the day!

4:30 - 5:30 Watch the wolves dive into pumpkins, disseminate scarecrows, and have a howlin' good time!

5:30 - 6:30 Meet one of the Amabassador Wolves hands-on, and learn about wolves from our Director!

6:30 - 8:00 Visit with the staff as you chow down during the BBQ.

8:00 - 9:30 Go on a spooky night tour of the Sanctuary where you'll meet characters such as Fenrir, Little Red Riding Hood, and more!

9:30 Warm up with hot cocoa and an interactive story during a campfire program.

10:15 At the end of the campfire, call it a night, or stay as we celebrate the lives of the animals who have passed away this year.

When the night is done, pitch a tent in our primitive campground, bring the RV, check-in to one of the local cabins, or head back on the road!

Tragedy at WSWS

Two weeks ago, our wolf mother, Sierra and two of her puppies contracted cryptococcus, a bizarre fungus-like infection. Following extremely lengthy and expensive medical treatment, the puppies pulled through (one with slight brain damage), but their mother caught the worst of it and died.

If you are involved with communities interested in wildlife, wolves, etc, I would please ask that you post a link to this dilemma and help spread this news around.

The sanctuary was already in severe financial need when its land came on the market, but these new vet bills have compounded the problem.

urgent!

Wild Spirit needs your help!

In 2005, our former director, Jacque Evans, moved to Washington to live with her daughter. However, she still owns the twelve acres that make up the center of the sanctuary. This includes the gift shop area and several animal enclosures.

WSWS recently learned that Jacque needs to sell this property. Fast. The asking price is $60, 000.

We need to raise one third of that, $20, 000, as a down payment within the next few days, or we will need to move.

Have the urge to howl at the moon, to catch a raven, or to scratch a flee?
If so, you've come to the right place! Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary (WSWS) is a deviant based off of a real sanctuary (by the same name) in Ramah, NM. All our deviations are dedicated to the magnificent residents at this sanctuary. So please check us out and then visit the real thing!
Our main goal is to educate fellow deviants about wolves and wolf dogs, everything from behavior to art tutorials. If you have any questions please note or comment our page.
If you'd like to friend us or join our club we'd be happy to accept you, although we will only post work that directly pertains to the sanctuary, aka: photos, drawings, etc of wolves at WSWS.
